Description
Short
A chaotic anti-grav racing game where every ship runs with flight assist turned off. Skillful drifting, hand-crafted tracks, and one-bit visuals in the void of space. No brakes. No hand-holding. Only momentum.
Long
Flight Assist Off Race is a top-down race in zero gravity for the Playdate, somewhere between Asteroids and a time trial. Nothing slows the ship down except the player, the G-forces get heavy enough to make the pilot black out, and the turns the tracks demand can only be pulled off with the Playdate crank. The goal: reach the finish orb as fast as possible.
The game was first released on itch.io. Version 1.3.0 brought it into the official Playdate Catalog, together with global highscores for every level, faster loading, more readable fonts and a credits screen.
