Flight Assist Off Race is now in the Playdate Catalog
It took a while, but Flight Assist Off Race has made it into the official Playdate Catalog.
What is it again?
If you picked it up on itch back when I first released it, you already know. For everyone else: it's a top-down race in zero gravity, somewhere between Asteroids and a time trial. Nothing slows your ship down except you, the G-forces get heavy enough to make your pilot black out, and the turns you need are the kind you can only pull off with the Playdate crank. Reach the finish orb as fast as you can.

What's new in 1.3.0
After the itch release I stepped away from the project for a good while, and then came back to build a new version for the Catalog:
- Global highscores for every level. The feature I wanted most.
- Faster loading. A round of performance work means levels start noticeably quicker.
- Simpler fonts. They've lost some charm, but you can actually read them now. Longer texts scroll inside their boxes too.
- A credits screen that names the frameworks and third-party tools the game is built on.
Thank you
The Playdate crowd is a lovely one: the players, the other developers, and the people at Panic. Seeing FAOR sit in the official collection next to their games makes me proud.
